What this site collects, and how to say no
Effective 8 September 2026 · Applies to willwork.io
In short
- This site works without any tracking. No analytics or advertising script loads by default.
- Visitor identification through Apollo.io is optional and off until you click Accept. You can decline, or withdraw later, under “Cookie settings” in the footer. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as a decline.
- The contact form sends what you type to us by email and keeps a copy on our hosting account so we can reply.
- Email jacob@willwork.io to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you.
WillWork is a prototype operator copilot for manufacturers, reachable at jacob@willwork.io. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. This notice explains what willwork.io collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
1. Optional visitor identification (Apollo.io)
Apollo.io is a sales-intelligence service. With your consent, this site loads Apollo’s website-visitor script. Its purpose is to tell us which companies — and, where it can, which people — are looking at WillWork, so that we can prioritise and personalise our outreach to manufacturers. It never loads unless you accept the prompt shown on your first visit or later choose Accept under “Cookie settings”.
What the script does in your browser
Based on the script as published by Apollo on 8 September 2026, once loaded it:
- creates a random anonymous visitor ID and stores it in your browser’s local storage under
apolloAnonId. It has no built-in expiry; we remove it if you later decline; - sends each page you view, the site that referred you, any campaign (UTM) parameters in the address, the anonymous ID, and — by virtue of the request itself — your IP address and browser details to Apollo’s collection endpoint (
aplo-evnt.com); - loads an identity-resolution script from LiveIntent (
liadm.com), which tries to recover hashed forms (MD5 and SHA-256) of an email address that LiveIntent’s network has associated with your browser. Those hashes are sent to Apollo with the page-view events. Apollo compares them, together with the company inferred from your IP address, against its business-contact database to identify you and your employer. LiveIntent may also set its own cookies or local-storage entries on this site; - caches a “tracking allowed” flag and the LiveIntent result for 24 hours, and queues unsent events, in local storage.
What we receive and how we use it
Inside our Apollo account we see the visiting company and, when Apollo finds a match, the visitor’s name, role, and business contact details, together with the pages viewed. We use this to decide whom to contact about WillWork and how to make that contact relevant. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Legal basis
Your consent (GDPR and UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a); ePrivacy rules on storing information in your browser). For California residents this activity may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural purposes; declining, or sending a Global Privacy Control signal, opts you out of it.
How to decline or withdraw
Choose Decline on the prompt, or open “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time and choose Decline. The script stops loading, we remove the identifiers it stored in your browser, and the page reloads. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a decline and do not show the prompt at all. Closing the prompt without choosing also keeps tracking off.
Data already sent to Apollo is held by Apollo under its own privacy policy. You can ask Apollo to remove you at apollo.io/privacy-policy/remove or by emailing privacy@apollo.io, and you can manage LiveIntent identifiers at privacy.liveintent.com. You can also tell us and we will delete the matching record from our Apollo account.
2. Contact form
When you use “Connect with us” we receive the name, work email, systems, and note you enter, plus your IP address, browser user-agent, and the time of submission, which we record for spam and abuse control. The submission is emailed to jacob@willwork.io (hosted on Google Workspace) and a copy is appended to a file on our hosting account outside the web root. A rate-limit record keyed by a hash of your IP address is kept for about ten minutes.
We use this to reply, arrange a discovery call, and, if you ask, keep in touch about WillWork. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before any agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep submissions for as long as we are in contact with you about WillWork, and delete them on request.
3. Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web server it records standard access logs (IP address, requested address, time, and browser) for security and operations, under Hostinger’s own retention and privacy policy. We do not add any analytics service to these logs.
4. Fonts
The Source Serif typeface is served from this site. The DM Mono typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request, which includes your IP address, to Google when a page loads. See Google Fonts privacy information.
5. What this site stores in your browser
Only the first two entries exist unless you accept visitor identification.

6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Email jacob@willwork.io and we will respond within the time your local law requires, usually within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data-protection supervisory authority.
California residents can ask what we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of sale or sharing by choosing Decline or by enabling Global Privacy Control in their browser. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. This site is intended for professionals at manufacturing companies; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
7. Changes to this notice
If we add a service that collects personal data, or change how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. If a change needs new consent, the prompt will ask again.
